Antalya: Turkey’s Capital of Five-Star Hotels

The coastal province of Antalya has topped Turkey’s provinces in terms of the number of five-star hotels, accounting for around 48% of all hotels in this category across the country, with 264 hotels.

Antalya is considered one of Turkey’s leading luxury tourism hubs, thanks to its large number of high-end hotels and resorts, as well as its beaches and wide range of tourist facilities.

Recent data shows that Antalya continues to lead the country in terms of the accommodation capacity of five-star hotels, driven by the strong demand the region receives from both domestic and international tourists.

Istanbul ranks next in terms of the number of luxury hotels, followed by Muğla and then Izmir, reflecting the diversity of Turkey’s tourism destinations, from beach and cultural tourism to entertainment and leisure.

Top Five-Star Hotels in Antalya

Antalya is home to a large number of luxury five-star hotels and resorts, including Barut Lara, Akra Hotel, Titanic Deluxe Lara, Delphin Imperial Hotel, and Concorde De Luxe Resort.

Other well-known luxury properties include Rixos Downtown Antalya - The Land Of Legends Erişimi and Limak Lara De Luxe Hotel & Resort.

The Belek area of Antalya is also home to several renowned luxury resorts, including Rixos Premium Belek and Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort.

The international popularity of Antalya, Muğla, and Istanbul as major tourist destinations has attracted more investment into the hotel and resort sector, further strengthening Turkey’s position on the global tourism map.

The Turkish newspaper Bugün previously reported, citing Turkish sources, that the number of five-star hotels in Turkey had reached 511, highlighting the scale of investment the tourism sector has attracted in recent years.

This expansion comes as around 55,000 new hotel rooms were added to the market within a single year, with five-star hotels accounting for around 54% of them. This reflects the growing focus on luxury tourism and on attracting visitors looking for higher standards of accommodation and service.

A large share of these facilities is concentrated in Turkey’s coastal regions, which are among the country’s most important tourist destinations. Antalya, in particular, has become one of the world’s leading destinations for beach tourism, luxury hotels, and high-end resorts.
