Two Employees Killed in Explosion at Military Facility in Turkey’s Kırıkkale Province

A mysterious explosion occurred at a military facility used for storing and disposing of ammunition in Kırıkkale Province, resulting in the deaths of two employees who were working at the site.

The facility belongs to Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation, one of Turkey’s leading defense industry companies. According to initial reports, the explosion took place while technical teams were carrying out research and development (R&D) activities inside the sensitive facility.

The exact cause of the incident has not yet been determined, and investigations are still underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the explosion.

As soon as the incident was reported, large numbers of ambulance crews, firefighters, civil defense teams from Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, as well as security forces and gendarmerie units, were dispatched to the area.
