Turkish Red Crescent has announced a new increase in educational aid for foreigners

The organization said there’s an update to the financial support provided under the Conditional Education Assistance Program for Foreigners (CCTE).

This program is funded by the European Union and carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Turkish Red Crescent. Its goal is to help students stay in school and ease the financial burden on families.

The monthly support has been set at 300 Turkish lira for girls and 270 lira for boys from kindergarten up to 8th grade. For high school students (grades 9 to 12), girls will receive 450 lira, while boys will get 390 lira.

These payments are made regularly every two months through the Red Crescent card, following a set schedule in January, March, May, July, September, and November. This helps ensure support continues throughout the school year.

This update comes as part of efforts to improve access to education for foreign children in Turkey and to encourage families to keep their kids in school, especially given the tough economic conditions many families are facing.
