Turkish Meteorology: Heavy Rains and a Drop in Temperatures at the Beginning of October
The Turkish Meteorological Authority announced that northern regions of Turkey will experience heavy rainfall, while temperatures will record lower-than-normal levels at the beginning of October.
The authority explained in a statement that the western, central, and eastern Black Sea coasts will experience heavy rainfall.
The provinces of Hatay, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, Iğdır, Van, Bitlis, northern Çarum, eastern Erzurum, and Ağrı will also experience heavy thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the weather will be clear to partly cloudy in the rest of the country.
Temperatures will be below seasonal averages in the north and around normal levels in the rest of the country.
Winds will mostly blow from the north, while in the southeast of the country, they will blow from the south, at light to moderate speeds.
