Israeli fighter jets enter Turkish airspace — Turkish Air Force responds
Local Turkish newspapers reported that Israeli warplanes entered Turkish airspace on Tuesday while carrying out airstrikes on targets inside Iran.
According to the Turkish daily Dogru Haber, the incident triggered an immediate response from Turkey’s Air Force. F-16 fighter jets were scrambled and issued radio warnings to the Israeli pilots, telling them to leave the airspace right away.
Security sources said Turkey went on high alert after the incident and is closely monitoring the situation along its eastern border.
So far, there’s been no official statement from either the Turkish or Israeli Defense Ministries. This comes amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, with growing concerns that the conflict could spill over into neighboring countries.
