Türkiye canceled all flights to "Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan" after The Israeli attack
Turkish airlines have announced that all flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan are canceled until next Monday, following Israel’s recent attacks on Iran.
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said on the platform X that several Turkish airlines — including Turkish Airlines — have suspended flights to those countries until Monday, June 16.
He explained that airlines have taken necessary precautions after the Israeli assault on Iran and have adjusted flight paths to avoid flying through high-risk airspace.
Airspaces over Israel, Iran, Syria, and Iraq are currently closed to flights because of the Israeli airstrikes and rising security threats in the region.
Uraloğlu added: “In response to the latest developments, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and the relevant airlines have taken the required safety measures and redesigned flight routes to stay away from dangerous airspace.”
He emphasized that airlines — especially Turkish Airlines — have canceled all flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan until June 16.
On Friday morning, Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran, which it called "Rising Lion." The attack targeted nuclear facilities in various areas and reportedly included the assassination of military leaders and nuclear scientists.
In return, Iran struck back by launching attacks on multiple Israeli cities and neighborhoods. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, warned Israel of a "harsh punishment" in response to the strikes.
