Turkey’s Floating Hotels Drew in Over 205,000 Travelers in Early 2025
Turkey’s tourism chamber announced a big boost in cruise tourism, with "floating hotels" attracting 205,758 passengers in the first four months of 2025.
They said cruise tourism is helping support the country’s tourism industry and that things are moving full speed ahead toward breaking new records.
The number of cruise ships coming to Turkey went up by 37.4% compared to the same period last year, and the number of cruise passengers jumped by 52.3%.
After hitting a record in tourism revenue last year, Turkey’s tourism sector is expecting to break another record this year.
Strong activity in both local and international markets, especially early bookings, is helping boost these expectations.
Cruise ships are drawing tourists with the comfort and facilities they offer onboard. Turkey continues to shine as a top destination for sea, sun, and sand lovers — and it’s also one of the world’s leading tourist spots thanks to its ancient cities, cultural heritage, and religious history.
