Decision from the Turkish Directorate General of Migration to Require All Residents to Activate the (UETS) System

The Turkish Directorate General of Migration has issued a decision requiring all residents to activate the Electronic Notification System (UETS) starting from April 1st, 2024.

The decision mandates all residents on Turkish soil, regardless of their type of residence (touristic, humanitarian, property, investment, medical, or any other type), to go to the nearest immigration center equipped with their residence permit and passport to obtain a special code.

After obtaining the code, the resident must download the Electronic Notification System application on their mobile phone, then fill out and submit the electronic notification form.

Activating the Electronic Notification System is mandatory for all residents, as it will become the sole means of receiving any notifications from the immigration authority or the courts.

Failure to activate the system will result in the resident being unable to receive any notifications, potentially subjecting them to legal penalties.
