"Blue Homeland TEKNOFEST" Maritime Technology Festival Kicks Off in Turkey

Istanbul is getting ready to host the "Blue Homeland TEKNOFEST" maritime technology festival starting tomorrow, Sunday.

The festival will run until August 23 and will feature displays of naval and maritime vehicles as part of the wider TEKNOFEST 2026 Aviation, Space and Technology Festival being held in Turkey.

"Blue Homeland TEKNOFEST" is the first technology festival in Turkey dedicated specifically to the maritime sector.

The four-day event will be held at the Kılıç Shipyard in Turkey’s Kocaeli province.

The festival will showcase a wide range of naval systems and unmanned underwater vehicles, along with domestically produced vessels well known in Turkey’s defense industry, including TCG Istanbul, TCG Burgazada, TCG Hızırreis, and TCG Sakarya.

Special demonstrations will also be held by Turkey’s Underwater Offense Commandos (SAT) and Underwater Defense Commandos (SAS).

The event will also feature the latest defense systems developed by Turkey’s Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation, as well as companies including HAVELSAN, ASFAT, ASELSAN, and ROKETSAN.

Young engineers will also take part in competitions focused on unmanned underwater systems and underwater missiles.
