Erdogan announces the Eid Al -Fitr holiday Is 9 days in Türkiye

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the extension of the Eid Al -Fitr holiday in the country to 9 days, after he decided to consider the three days following the feast (Wednesday - Thursday - Friday) an administrative leave.

 Thus, the leave begins on Saturday, March 29, and ends on Sunday 6 April.

Erdogan said: "Our public officials will be considered on an administrative vacation on April 2, 3 and 4. Therefore, our nation will have the opportunity to obtain 9 days a total vacation during the holiday," Erdogan said.

The decision allows employees and public and private workers a extended rest period, and this decision comes within the framework of the facilities provided by the government to its citizens, especially with the increasing movement of travel and movement during the holiday period.
