Formula 1 to Return to Turkey Starting in the 2027 Season

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has announced that the Turkish Grand Prix will return to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship starting in the 2027 season.

Ersoy revealed that Istanbul Park will host Formula 1 races through the end of the 2031 season under a five-year agreement.

Ersoy met with Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak at the Atatürk Cultural Center to review preparations for hosting the major sporting event and ensure a complete experience for both fans and participating teams.

The meeting covered preparations for the race, coordination between the relevant institutions, promotional plans for the event, and the next steps.

In a post on his social media accounts, Ersoy said the meeting focused on preparations for hosting the Turkish Grand Prix in a way that reflects Turkey’s international reputation for organizing major sporting events. The discussions also included strengthening cooperation between the relevant institutions and promoting the event.
