Harbut explained that the hospital, which began admitting patients in 2017, serves as a model for revolutionizing the Turkish healthcare sector through the concept of city hospitals.
The hospital, equipped with 1640 beds, played a pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic and earthquakes that struck the region, leveraging its modern infrastructure and qualified medical team.
According to Harbut, the hospital receives 40,000 to 50,000 individuals daily, highlighting the significant support the hospital provides to the region.
He added, "We work with a team of 1200 physicians, and currently offer outpatient clinic services to 11,000 individuals daily, in addition to 2000 emergency services."
Dr. Harbut also highlighted achievements in organ transplantation, with 89 liver transplantations and 77 kidney transplantations performed so far. "Our hospital is also a transplantation center and operates with all the necessary technological facilities as a university hospital."
During the earthquake period, the hospital demonstrated its superior crisis management capabilities, bearing a heavy burden and contributing to the rescue and treatment of numerous victims.
Dr. Harbut continued, "Especially during the earthquake, all our teams worked tirelessly to serve the people, forgetting their families and dedicating themselves to saving lives."
The hospital plans to expand its capabilities in 2024 to continue providing exceptional services to the residents of Adana and surrounding areas, emphasizing its commitment to improving healthcare and responding to emergencies.
