The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce announces an increase in the number of artificial intelligence companies in Türkiye
The Strategic Studies Center affiliated with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce announced an increase in the number of artificial intelligence companies headquartered in Turkey to 1195 companies by the year 2024.
A statement from the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce indicated that Turkey had only 5 companies active in the field of artificial intelligence in the year 2000.
The statement explained that this number increased to 1012 companies by 2023, reaching 1195 companies by the year 2024.
The statement quoted Şekib Avdagiç, the president of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, as saying that the use of artificial intelligence is expanding further, particularly in industrial sectors.
He called for the necessity of opening more comprehensive and effective departments in Turkish universities to maintain a workforce trained in artificial intelligence and robotics applications.
