Istanbul University announces the completion of student residence procedures without the need to visit immigration
Istanbul University announced the completion of its students' residence procedures through the university itself, without the need for students to go to the immigration department.
The university explained that the decision comes as part of its efforts to facilitate residency procedures for students, where students can now complete all administrative procedures related to residency from within the university campus.
This announcement aims to ease the burden on students and provide them with more comfort and ease in completing their administrative procedures, thereby enhancing their university experience and achieving their academic goals more effectively.
The Turkish Higher Education Council issued a statement emphasizing the importance of having foreign students in Turkey, in response to baseless allegations recently made against foreign students.
The statement affirmed that Turkey has become one of the top 10 preferred countries in the world by international students due to the quality of education, safe living, and multicultural lifestyle.
The statement clarified that the application, registration, and admission processes for international students in Turkey do not lead to any loss of rights for Turkish students.
It emphasized that international students hosted by Turkey are important in terms of global connections, international relations, and the economic contribution they provide.
The statement pointed out that nearly 95% of international students in Turkey receive their education with their own resources and return to their home countries, becoming "voluntary ambassadors for Turkey."
It stressed the necessity of avoiding all kinds of baseless words, actions, and contributions that could prevent Turkish universities from becoming centers of attraction for international students and scholars."
